DECtalk USB

- DECtalk Express (Obsolete use DECtalk USB)
DECtalk express hardware external portable synthesizer. This
is the very best in synthesizers. It is supported by all major screen
readers and all Windows operating systems. The DECtalk Express
requires a serial port. DECtalk Express has a built-in
rechargeable battery.

The DECtalk USB is the replacement
for the DECtalk Express. You do not need a serial port nor do you
need a separate power source as was the case with the DECtalk Express.
The DECtalk USB uses the Power provided by the USB port.

TripleTalk USB
An alternate to the DECtalk
Synthesizer is the TripleTalk USB external portable synthesizer.
The TripleTalk obtains it's power through the USB port. No
batteries required.
Another choice is the TripleTalk PCI
internal synthesizer. TripleTalk PCI internal synthesizer suitable for
desktop computers running Windows operating systems.
Individuals who need a screen reader
need to use one of the three following output methods:

Software synthesizer

Hardware synthesizer (DECtalk,
TripleTalk etc.)

Braille Display (Focus,
PowerBraille,
Braille notetakers)
Braille Displays are required by individuals who need very precise
feedback as to what is on the computer screen (programmers, call center
operators (911), etc.) or those who are hard of hearing or deaf.
