PowerBraille comes in. These slim, portable displays instantly transform screen data into
8-dot refreshable Braille. Two sizes — in 40
and 80 cells — are
available to meet all access needs.
Each PowerBraille includes efficient screen-reading software, which has an
on-line Grade 2 Braille translator, and is ready to work with most of today's popular
applications. Users can configure their systems to receive Braille, speech, or
both. A screen reader is recommended to receive
the full benefit of your Braille display.
All PowerBraille displays feature a patented snap-in cell design for easy,
less-expensive maintenance and service.
Thumb-controlled rocker bars let you roam the screen while simultaneously
reading text on the display, and provide independent movement of the display and cursor.
Other controls select split screen, and additional attributes, for near-perfect
user convenience.
The cursor moves to any character at the touch of a finger. In Windows,
you can instantly move the mouse pointer to your desired location.

PowerBraille 40
PB 40 provides the utmost in portability. Batteries power it for up to seven
hours, and a tactile indicator displays remaining battery time and current charging rate.
PowerBraille 80
With this much refreshable Braille, even highly formatted material is readily and
plainly accessible.
Columnar text? Spreadsheets? PB80 handles it all easily. A
split-screen mode provides you with two configurable windows, and an additional cell acts
as a separator for added convenience.
PB80 features four user-definable
switches to instantly select operational mode. Display advancement is
controlled from three easy-to-reach locations.
PB80 includes one speaker-output and two
speech-input connectors, so it is simple to use headphones and a speaker at
the same time, or to mix two speech sources.
All PowerBraille models have a parallel port pass-through feature to conserve
serial ports for other peripherals.
