Each language has its own Braille characters and
correct pronunciation for speech, and allows users to read and write in
Braille or text, name files, search for text, check spelling, adjust
pronunciation, and print and emboss all in that language. Once the language
of text is assigned, the language features are retained even when text is
cut and pasted.
Introducing the latest innovative technology solution from
Pulse Data International:
BrailleNote GPS
Out of the pages of sci-fi and into the BrailleNote,
Global Positioning Technology is now available to expand travel
independence.
BrailleNote GPS uses Global Positioning System
satellites to receive information about its position and nearby points of
interest, using a receiver about the size of a mobile phone that plugs into
the BrailleNote or VoiceNote. Personalised travel routes and favourite
spots can be easily programmed in as well as thousands of points of interest
available with the system.
BrailleNote GPS can provide information on the location
of a favourite restaurant, which direction to head next,
the driveway
being crossed…… the possibilities are endless.
By creating routes and adding points of interest
BrailleNote GPS can be used to:
·
Easily locate a residence
while walking home
·
Navigate for a driver
·
Locate poorly marked bus
stops or train stations
·
Find a way back to a hotel
in an unfamiliar location
·
Swap routes with other
BrailleNote GPS users
·
Set rendezvous locations to
meet friends
