Optelec
Low Vision Products: NanoPac, Inc. carries a complete line of Optelec low vision
products based on CCTV technology.
What is a CCTV?
CCTV's are specially designed to enlarge printed material for people who have low vision
and can no longer comfortably use glasses or special lenses to read regular size print.
Optelec products use a video camera that focuses on the printed page. The
print is then enlarged and displayed on a monitor.
Who should use a CCTV?
People with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa,
inoperable cataracts are all potential CCTV users.

The ClearView+ 700
The 700 is for those wanting to share their
computer monitor with the ClearView base platform. All the features of
the 517XL are available as well as split screen windowing to view part
of your computer display with your ClearView+ display.
All ClearView+ Models
include the following:
Magnification
Range
The ClearView+ provides magnification of anything placed under it from
2X to 50X its original size. This is very important to note, as
we are now the only desktop system available that can go as low as 2X
magnification, making it a great system for individuals dealing with
tunnel vision (such as Retinitis Pigmentosa), who require excellent
contrast and brightness, but little magnification.
AIF Technology
Always-in-Focus Technology (otherwise know as Auto Focus). Each system
comes standard with Continuous Auto Focus. For those activities that do
not lend themselves to continuous auto focus, this can be simply
deactivated with the touch a button.
One Button Control System
Quite frankly, the “ease-of-use” factor for the ClearView+ exceeds that
of all other systems on the market. One Button in the center of the XY
table, controls magnification, as well as the viewing mode. Turn the
button to the right to increase, or left to decrease magnification, and
push the button in to cycle through 3 viewing modes – photo,
black/white, negative.
Two CCFL Light Sources
The
ClearView+ features 2 CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lighting) light
sources, located to the left and right of the camera. This innovative
design provides even distribution of light across the object,
eliminating glare and shadowing. In addition, a light sensor is located
to the back of the camera, and will regulate ambient lighting.
Electronic Table Brake
The new ClearView+ features an electronic brake. Push up on the red
button to engage the break and then push up once again to disengage the
brake. This is a great addition to the product line for those
individuals who suffer from arthritis or may have some other condition,
making it difficult for them to push or pull the current breaking
systems available. In addition, the low profile of this breaking
system, replaces the prior break design that sticks out a considerable
distance from the XY table.
All
Controls located in front panel of XY Table
As with
prior ClearView models, the control mechanisms for the system are
located on the XY table, to the front of the unit.

The Optelec
