The Freedom Scientific Notetakers: tools for today, powered for tomorrow.
Because the demands of your world are not about to quit, neither will your Freedom Scientific notetaker.  These stand-alone data managers, crammed with features, help to make the most of your time.  They’re portable, so you can work when creativity strikes. You can accomplish everything you want to — wherever you go!

You can do all this and more:

  •  edit that article you wrote for the company newsletter
  •  take it along to the reunion this summer and record family history that would otherwise be lost
  •  quietly and privately take notes at tonight’s school board meeting
  •  prepare that report on T. S. Eliot for English class, footnotes and all
  •  record a daily journal as you hike the Appalachian Trail
  •  keep track of your family’s ever-changing schedule
  •  while on the bus to work, dash off that letter to the editor — or to your government representative

Don’t forget, you can output all of the above in print, Braille, or synthesized speech.  Most models include the additional flexibility of refreshable Braille display. Read on to discover more reasons why Blazie and Freedom Scientific notetakers have grown in popularity and reputation since the first Braille ‘n Speak was introduced in 1987!

Memory:
With the latest memory technology available, you can write, review, and edit data, keep a virtual address book, and store many, many pages of Braille or print.  In fact, if you were to completely fill your notetaker with files, it would contain more than 780 single-spaced, typewritten print pages of solid text.  Even more with additional memory sticks.

Synthesized Speech and More. What else can you do with a notetaker?
Access information like time, date, and appointment calendar whenever you please.  Switch between two different languages at the touch of a key (more on that in a minute).  Use it as the speech synthesizer for your computer.   Create output in Braille or print. With a modem, go online to send and receive e-mail, and explore the Internet.

Bilingual?
Choose a Dual-language Model Series 2000 notetakers have the ability to hold two separate language modules simultaneously, and will switch between the two languages of your choice with a single command.  Language teachers, students, frequent travelers, and others — imagine having two languages available at your fingertips!  Choose from more than a dozen languages.

Built-in Translation
A regular ink-printer will produce typewritten pages when you use the built-in Braille-to-print translation feature.  Of course, you can also output Braille to almost any embosser.

Interface and Explore Your World
Truly, we are hard-pressed to think of anything you can’t do with our notetaker — whether using it alone, or coupled with other computer products.  With our disk drive accessory, you can read IBM-compatible disks.   What a handy way to read computerized books!

Learn the Command Structure in Less Than a Day
Our products are a best-selling choice among computer-savvy adults.  Yet their small size, rugged construction, and ease of use make notetakers good tools even for young children.
No previous computer experience is necessary!  Type ‘n Speak users do not even have to know Braille.
In fact, operation is so simple, you can even update most of our notetakers yourself when the time comes.  This also means that you won’t have to return your notetaker to us when firmware upgrades hit the market.  Your productivity continues, undisturbed.
