Can you believe it? A machine with even more to offer the "power
user" than our Series 2000 note takers? Yes, there is
such a beauty, and it's called Braille Lite 40.
The main differences lie in memory capabilities and in size of the Braille
display. Braille Lite 40 features a big 40 cells. Forty cells means better access to
screen layouts — especially important in todays graphical-oriented computing
environment. The 40 convenient cursor-routing buttons allow instant editing, and that
means no more tedious searches through text.
You may choose 6 or 8 dot Braille, as your application requires.
Additionally, there are keys to facilitate direct input of dot-7 and dot-8 when entering
ASCII Braille or foreign language notation.
It is hard to imagine, but the Braille Lite 40 comes equipped with an absolute
cavern of memory — 768k RAM, plus 4mb flash ROM memory. You can store up to
4,700 pages of Braille in over 1,000 files!
Put another way, Braille Lite 40 will hold the entire Holy Bible (both the Old
and New Testaments) with room to spare. So, you know this note taker will easily
accept books of almost any size.
Just load the text, and read it in Braille at your leisure.
Use Braille
Lite 40 in
combination with JAWS for Windows and you’ve got a PC Braille display! it's
easy to toggle back and forth between PC monitor and note taker modes.
