Braille Voyager Braille Display

The Braille Voyager is a compact, versatile Braille line which, connected
to either a laptop or desktop PC, provides a tactile means of working with
the computer. Special pins form a line of Braille text on the display which
is used to read information from the computer's screen. Using the Braille
Voyager you can read word processed text, menus, boxes, spreadsheets, and
via the Braille command buttons, operate Internet programs and other
software, simply and quickly.
The Braille Voyager has features unique in its field. The fold away
construction provides safety and portability, and its USB connection adds to the
ease of use. With the Tieman Express macro editor, Braille Voyager has an
amazing range of functions.
The Braille Voyager has the following key benefits :
- Small - Easily portable and lightweight
- USB Connector - No need for bulky, heavy power supply
- Easy to Learn - Which means higher productivity and
efficiency
- Low Power
- Minimal impact on laptop battery life
- Macros Feature - Run mainstream application software
with minimal fuss
Modern Lightweight Construction.
Manufactured from tough, durable plastic, with a non-slip surface for laptop or
a keyboard. With its unique fold-away construction, the Braille Voyager 44's
case protects the Braille cells, and is compact and neat enough to stow easily
in your laptop carrying case.
Ergonomically Designed Keys.
Above
the Braille cells, cursor routing buttons will bring the on-screen cursor
directly to the position you need. Navigation buttons can move you around the
Windows environment, and Windows command keystrokes can be entered directly from
the Braille keys, saving you time and effort and making Windows simple to use
and easier to remember.
Compatibility and Adaptability.
The Braille Voyager works with all major screen readers, but the added
functionality is independent of the screen reading software, making commands
easy to learn and easy to teach.
The Braille Voyager has 44 and 70 cell models. The 44 cell is designed for
laptop computers, and the wider 70 cell unit is designed for use with a desktop
computer. Both
of these models work via a USB connection, although if you require a serial
connection, there is an optional serial pack, so ask for the Voyager 44+ or 70+.
Power Saving and Connectivity.
Braille Voyager connects to the USB port, from which it also takes its power,
eliminating the need for an extra mains power supply. All you need to carry is
the Braille Voyager and its USB cable, and the laptop - no extra bulky power
adapter.
