Braille Displays:
Braille Displays allow the Braille literate
user better resolution to information on a computer display much in
the same way that a brighter, larger, crisper monitor adds
efficiency to the sighted worker. A Braille Display indicates what
is represented on a computer monitor using Braille dots which move
up and down forming Braille characters.

Without a Braille Display, the blind user must
rely solely on speech output. Speech output is the most widely used
method but it has limitations. Homonyms are a good case for Braille
Displays. Routing to a specific location is much easier with a
Braille Display because you direct the computer's cursor to a
specific location. |
